The Late Sedric Wirt
The legacy of Wirt’s Jewelers began after Sedric Wirt was wounded during the Korean War. During his rehabilitation, he spent much of his time learning watch and jewelry repair. After learning the skill, Wirt and his wife Phyllis opened their jewelry store. Shortly after opening, because of the recommendations of their customers and other jewelry store owners, Wirt’s Jewelers was approached by the Missouri Pacific Railroad to become the official railroad inspector of railroad approved timepieces. Wirt’s continued to be the official railroad inspector for the railroad until the program was dissolved in the 80's. Wirt’s Jewelers has built a reputation as a leader in repairs of both watches and jewelry. Not only have customers trusted Wirt’s with all their special pieces, they also trusted Wirt’s to sell them quality jewelry. After Mr. and Mrs. Wirt retired, their daughter Cindy Rouse and granddaughter Kelli Mayfield took over the business. 2nd Generation Jeweler, Cindy grew up in the jewelry business. She has a special love for watch repair that came from watching her father work on the watch bench for so many years. Her interests outside of her professional life involve family. In her free time, she can be found taking her 4 grandchildren to fun events. When not with the kids, she is outdoors.

3rd Generation Jeweler, Kelli also grew up in the store. She has a desire to meet all of our customers expectations. She works very hard to find the perfect piece of jewelry for each and every customer. It doesn't matter if it is a small purchase or a large, superb customer service is priority number 1. Kelli is also our joker. She is always searching for the next laugh.

Wirt’s Jewelers requires our suppliers to subscribe to the Kimberly Process to ensure our diamonds are conflict free.
Return Policy
Wirt's Jewelers has a 15 day money back guarantee on all merchandise returned 15 days after the purchase date. Items that are non returnable are custom made, clearance, lay-a-ways, engraved, damaged, altered, or re-sized. Any returned item must be in the original packaging with a copy of the sales receipt. All merchandise will be inspected by our Quality Assurance Department before any credits or exchanges are made to the purchaser.
Layaway Policy
Funds paid on layaway are nonrefundable. Items in layaway may be returned to stock and a store credit will be issued to the purchaser. A minimum payment of $15.00 should be made at least every 30 days. Layaways must be paid in full by the 6 months anniversary of the accounts establishment. Accounts that are 60 days over due will be notified by phone and payment should be made in 1 week of notification. The minimum payment will increase to $30.00 to cover both payments that are past due. Accounts that are 90 days past due will be returned to stock without further notification.
Custom Design and Repairs Policy
50% deposit is required on repairs and custom design. All items repaired have a 1 year warranty on the repair that was preformed. If repairs are recommended and owner opts out of the recommended repair that warranty is voided. Custom design and repairs are nonrefundable. Items are to be picked up and paid in full within 30 days of completion of repair. If payment can not be paid in full before the 30 days a layaway may be established for the repair. After completion of the repair we will call the owner to let them know that the repair is completed. If after 90 days of completion of repairs the item is not paid in full or placed in layaway, we have the right to sell the item to the public for the cost of the repair.
